Almost seven years ago, the Big Three announced their Project 2000 part of which was a plan to reduce warranty expense by at least 60%. In the beginning, we heard many people in the industry saying, there was simply no way, it was going to happen, and if it did what will we do to replace the work? Unfortunately, for those of us directly involved with service, the manufacturers have managed to do just that.
